OUR SERVICES

Psychological & Educational Assessment

Evaluations span a variety of needs including ADHD diagnosis, learning disability assessment, psychological functioning, differential diagnosis or diagnostic clarification, neurocognitive batteries including post-head injury or concussion, memory, and functional capacity. Psychological testing can be very helpful in identifying the targets for treatment (and it is interesting for our clients as well).

Individual Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy encompasses all forms of mental health issues ranging from life transitions, grief, depression, anxiety, or other forms of emotional or ineffective ways of thinking. Our providers use empirically supported methods (e.g., CBT, ACT, EMDR, Positive Psychology) that are specifically designed to treat various conditions.  Intervention is given based on the stages of change.

Marriage & Family Counseling

Marriage and Family Therapy is designed for couples or families who are struggling with communication, behavior, or expression of love, affection, and respect toward one another. Our providers use multiple methods centered around the research of The Gottman Institute, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and others.  We offer a safe environment to learn and practice new skills.

Child Psychology

Children and adolescents are not just little adults. They need specialized forms of therapeutic methods, such as emphasis on play, relationship building, and stages of change. Our providers skillfully address the unique needs of each child. This process often involves parent training or the entire family unit.

Customized Consulting Services

Individuals may seek professional guidance for their own needs, for assistance in working with other people, or to improve larger systems and companies.  Clinicians skillfully observe, diagnose problems, and suggest methods for improving.

Psychiatry

Psychiatry is the branch of medicine focused on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental, emotional and behavioral disorders.

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor (an M.D. or D.O.) who specializes in mental health, including substance use disorders. Psychiatrists are qualified to assess both the mental and physical aspects of psychological problems.

People seek psychiatric help for many reasons. The problems can be sudden, such as a panic attack, frightening hallucinations, thoughts of suicide, or hearing "voices." Or they may be more long-term, such as feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or anxiousness that never seem to lift or problems functioning, causing everyday life to feel distorted or out of control.

Genetic Testing

Getting on the right medication can be a frustrating and even damaging process.  Genetic testing helps ease this process by examining markers for pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics that impact the may human bodies respond to specific medications.  We have a partnership with GeneSight who takes cheek swabs, runs a DNA panel, and then returns an information sheet where psychotrophic medications (e.g., Zertraline, Ritaline) are placed into different zones of benefit or danger.
